{"id":409,"date":"2019-09-25T20:33:14","date_gmt":"2019-09-25T20:33:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hiremaster.com\/trucking-news\/?p=409"},"modified":"2019-09-25T20:33:15","modified_gmt":"2019-09-25T20:33:15","slug":"big-rig-at-dega","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hiremaster.com\/trucking-news\/other-news\/2019\/09\/25\/big-rig-at-dega\/409\/","title":{"rendered":"Big Rig at &#8216;Dega"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Iconic Peterbilt part of the Talladega Garage Experience<br><\/em><br><strong>TALLADEGA, Ala. \u2013<\/strong> When NASCAR fans at Talladega Superspeedway see Johnny Ray\u2019s iconic Peterbilt rumbling down the track with the giant American flag on the back they know 500 miles of white-knuckle racing is about to begin.<br>\u00a0<br>Once the race starts, the truck is out of sight and out of mind, but from today forward race fans stepping into the track\u2019s new Big Bill\u2019s Social Club will always have a view of the track\u2019s favorite truck.<br>\u00a0<br>Big Bill\u2019s is the 35,000-square-foot entertainment center that\u2019s the centerpiece of the Talladega Garage Experience, an open-air gathering place between the two Monster Energy Cup Series garages, part of the track\u2019s $50 million infield transformation project that will be unveiled during the Oct. 11-13 race weekend.<br>\u00a0<br>In addition to unparalleled access to viewing the race teams and their work stations, the entertainment area features a 75-foot long bar at the back of the building, where reasonably priced food and refreshments will be served up throughout the race.<br>\u00a0<br>The facility is named in honor of Bill France Sr., the founder of NASCAR and Talladega Superspeedway\u2019s builder.<br>\u00a0<br>As for the Peterbilt, a rendition of the front of Ray\u2019s cab hangs above the entrance wall and serves as a backdrop for digital photos that places fans in the drivers\u2019 seat.
