TLD Logistics makes it a point to keep its employees up to date on all the services the company has available to them. It\u2019s one of the elements that has kept the Tennessee-based carrier among the Best Fleets to Drive For four years running (and in the running for a fifth).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program updates are made available at various times throughout the year, but this year, for the first time, the company is offering a veritable one-stop shop for all that\u2019s available to all its personnel. Expanding on its popular HealthCheck 360 initiative, the carrier is holding a Wellness Expo for employees at its Everett Road\/Knoxville headquarters terminal.

From 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 6 and Dec. 9, representatives from five outside vendors and four in-house speakers will be available to answer questions and provide insight on health and wellness, truck tech, paperwork and legal aid services. Organizers are hoping to attract as many as 100 drivers as well on-site employees.

\u201cI want to try and have more than one reason for our drivers to come in because we don\u2019t see them frequently,\u201d said Kelly Rogers, the TLD human resources specialist who has worked to bring the expo together. \u201cIf I can get them in for one thing and they have three or four other options that are going to help them I want to get those questions answered.

\u201cIt\u2019s customer service. It\u2019s about taking care of our drivers, taking care of our employees. That\u2019s what it\u2019s all about.\u201d

TLD has had HealthCheck 360 in place for several years, helping employees participating in the company\u2019s medical plan reduce their weekly premium. In the past the program has included chiropractic services and investment counseling, but this year it is going to a new level.

Outside vendors include wellness\/weight loss specialists Profile, legal aid specialists Open Road, Carrier (demonstrating its APU), Optimal Health\/Brown Chiropractic (offering the popular chair massages) and, Monday only, Pilot\/Flying J (fuel card apps).

TLD personnel will be on hand to discuss the company\u2019s payroll (Paylocity) and paperwork (McLeod) systems, safety (ELD compliance) and accept the Best Fleets survey and testimonials.

\u201cThis year we have more vendors that are more driver related,\u201d said Nina Jolly, TLD\u2019s HR and Safety Manager. \u201cI think it\u2019s a great opportunity for our employees. This is by far our best event and Kelly and everybody involved has done an excellent job getting this together.\u201d

Other TLD terminals will have their own HealthCheck 360 events, but without the vendors.
