5 drivers win big during Averitt’s NDAW activities

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Five lucky Averitt Express over-the-road drivers had their names drawn to be assigned brand-new 2020 Freightliners, highlighting the company’s Driver Appreciation Week activities earlier this month.

The winners were Emil Ferino, a Tampa Truckload associate; DaQuan Pollard (Montgomery), Peggy Dear (New Orleans), Paul Bratcher (Clarksville) and Roger Craiger (Tri-Cities).

In addition to the drawing, the activities included cookouts and breakfasts, giveaways and other events. Every driver had their names entered into a daily prize drawing for wireless headsets, gift cards, CB radios, televisions and Ipads.

“Driver Appreciation Week is an important tradition for our team and it’s one of the many ways that we’re able to say ‘thank you’ for their efforts,” Averitt chairman and CEO Gary Sasser said. “Our driving force is the backbone of everything we do, and every week we’re thankful for their professionalism, commitment to safety and dedication to delivering outstanding service.”

Averitt is a multi-service provider in more than 100 locations throughout the United State with fleets ranging from regional over-the-road and dedicated to local pick-up and delivery and more. It has gained recognition as a Forbes Best Large Employer and numerous Quest for Quality awards.
