Trucker Advisor Connects Truckers

The country is wide, the road is long and there is a lot going on in between. Sometimes, a driver just needs a little advice when he’s in an unfamiliar place and friendly advice from one who might have been there before is always welcomed.

With Wright Media’s newest product, Trucker Advisor, drivers in every corner of the land can connect with their fellow drivers to stay connected with everything trucking. And as popular as it is sure to become trucking companies advertising on the site looking to attract drivers can get their name and openings in front of hundreds of thousands of drivers.

Simply put, Trucker Advisor is an all-in-one ratings, review and Q&A engine for the transportation industry. Wright Media has leveraged years of driver data, search engine marketing, social media and text blast campaigns to build a data base of drivers who will have the ability to access the site to rate and review more than 8,000 truck stops, 400,000 transportation companies, 6,000 truck services and hundreds of products throughout the industry.

“HireMaster is the largest product that we publish now,” Wright Media founder and publisher Kenny Wright said. “When we launched HireMaster we didn’t have the tools we have today. We didn’t have the staff, the tools, the knowledge; we just acquired that throughout the process and built on that, and we built an incredible product.

“With Trucker Advisor we’re able to capitalize on everything we’ve learned in the past and focus it on this product to grow it in the driver community. It’s all about interacting with each other to better the community and better the industry.”

When drivers log on to Trucker Advisor and share their thoughts on a particular truck stop experience or ask a question about the latest piece of trucking legislation, they will be rewarded with points and other incentives to encourage more participation; there are even plans to hold events exclusively for Trucker Advisor contributors.

A new driver heading into an unfamiliar part of the country would welcome a heads-up on where to maybe eat, stop for the night or have a maintenance issue addressed.

Of course, the drivers will have access to the latest job openings around the country. When a company receives a direct application through Trucker Advisor it’s because the driver chose that company to apply.

“It’s really providing a platform for drivers to be able to communicate with each other specifically for trucking,” Wright said. “It’s giving every trucker a voice so that everybody can be heard and share information.”
