When Kenny Wright, founder and president of Wright Media Corp., reflects on the explosive growth his company has enjoyed particularly over the last three years, he calls it nothing short of “mindblowing.”

Starting from the simple idea of connecting driver recruiting with digital media, Wright Media has grown into a nationally recognized innovator in the trucking industry.

In just a few short years, largely through the success of its HireMaster recruiting product and other innovative driver recruiting tools, Wright Media has grown in its client acquisitions and qualified drivers reach many times over. And in recent months the company has relocated into a new two-story building in Oxford, Ala., to accommodate its growth in personnel and services, which now include a client development office and content marketing division.

“We have reinvested so much time, money and energy back in our products to reach drivers,” Wright said. “What it’s done is shown these companies that our products work, that we do provide solutions to their recruiting needs.

“What we take pride in is the fact we just don’t call and sell a product to be selling a product. We call on our clients to find out how can we be a better partner – What can we do for you? What’s your pain? What are your struggles? – and we go in and find a custom solution for each of these companies. And from there we grow it.

“They trust us and they come to us and were able to grow these accounts. When the client says, hey, it’s working, what can you do for more, we tell them. It’s a unique approach for every single company. No two companies are alike.”

Wright Media’s most recent innovation is a product called “Trucker Advisor.” Launched at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville in March, the product brings the entire driver community together to offer personal reviews of products and services, ask questions, provide answers and share experiences relating to industry issues and just serve as a sounding board for the trucking community at large.

Initial response has been favorable and its reach, like Wright Media itself, is growing daily. Look for a heavy presence at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas in August, where Wright hinted at the launch of several new Wright Media products.

“There’s such a need for drivers and I’m proud of our team, how we’ve all come together to build these products and to find solutions for these companies,” Wright said. “The best compliments that you have is when you talk to a company and they’re getting hires directly from your products. Let us help. Let us be a part of that solution.”
